RE: Letter of Recommendation for Krishna Amin (MSN, CNL Candidate Summer 2017)

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

I am writing this letter of recommendation in support of Krishna Amin, a student of mine I had the pleasure of teaching both during clinical rotations (NSG 502) and physical assessment lab (NSG 525-L). Over the course of fourteen weeks (trimester), I have watched Krishna flourish tremendously in her both her ability to critically think and to provide exemplary patient-centered care. It is for these tantamount reasons that I would recommend her for a student nurse assistant position without reservation. Please allow me to elaborate more about her employment qualifications.

Krishna was a very upbeat and gregarious individual who availed herself to her colleagues, staff nurses, patients, and their families which makes her the consummate team-player. She is caring and already as a student nurse espouses Rush’s mission, vision, and values of: Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I-CARE).
Without question, her greatest asset is her strong attention to detail – a skill commonly used to master new procedures and routines – makes her ideally suited to excel on either a critical care or med-surgical unit. Perhaps most important, Krishna was a “safe student nursing” asking appropriate questions when she needed further clarification regarding a specific task or technical skill.
There is but one phrase that adequately describes her – The complete package – as evidenced by her strong work ethic, dependability, and scholastic achievement to-date. During stressful situations, Krishna has a quiet-calmness that is refreshing and rare these days. Once again, I highly recommend Krishna Amin for a student nurse assistant position without reservation; she will prove to be a valuable asset to any unit that she works. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Yours Truly,

Floyd L. B. Holland, Jr., RCP, BSN, MSN

To whom it may concern:

I would like to enthusiastically recommend Krishna Amin for the position of Nursing Assistant on 12 East Tower here at RUMC. I was fortunate to be Krishna’s nursing clinical instructor during her first semester at Rush University. She is a very bright young woman who is passionate about providing care and comfort to others. Krishna has experience with several patient populations in her previous patient care experiences including hematology and med-surg. I have witnessed firsthand her ability to build rapport with patients and staff, provide competent patient care, and complete her work in a timely fashion with excellent time management skills. Krishna is calm, has a positive attitude and a team mentality; she is always seeking opportunities to learn, build her skills, and assist others. One thing I find most admirable about Krishna is her reflective nature and ability to empathize with patients-she sees the patient, not just the disease or diagnosis. Patients are very lucky to have her provide care for them and I am confident that she will be a great addition to any team.

It is my pleasure to refer Krishna Amin to you and I hope you will strongly consider her to fill the available position. Should you have further questions regarding Krishna’s clinical performance I will be happy to speak with you. I can be reached at 219-241-3857 or via email at
